stayed there over New Year on Starwood Points ... give it a thumbs up. liked the location --- close enuff to FQ but also near to downtown and right across from Mothers. staff is great, from top to bottom. may not have as much old world charm as the W in the FQ, but oh well, hard to have it all. would return no Qs asked when next in the Crescent City.

Love this hotel. It is in my hometown and we regularly check in here just for the weekend. The General Manager is great and I have always had top notch service. Drinks in the lobby bar are $$$ but the atmosphere is great!
