I went to San Diego second time in the summer of 2004. This hotel is like a "airport hotel" because it right close to the airport. This hotel is on Harbor Island - there is nothing specular about it. I don't understand how they picked this location. There is no beach - all rocks around the island. I stayed in a non-smoking room but I could smell. Service is slow. TV remote didn't work, I was asked to stay in my room and wait for the replacement to arrive. Wished I could have stayed at The Westin Hortzon. You'll need a car to go downtown or the beaches. Parking at the hotel is not free. I paid $179 for the room and I don't feel it has any value for the money I paid. I will not go back there again. I will not ever recommend this hotel to my friends and my family.
