I have never stayed here and thus have no idea about this hotel but these idiots have allowed me to post a note anyway. This is just open to prejudice reviews by staff and management and competitors alike. Useless imho.

Loved this hotel. We had a room on the 6th floor (top) with exposed roof beams, heated bathroom floor, view into the courtyard/backyards of other canal houses. Every night we got a towel on the floor by the bed, a little chocolate 'amsterdammer' and syrup waffles (forgot the dutch for that). The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, even when coming in around 3am or even 5am (hey we were there during New Year's). My flight was delayed & the room was in my name and even though my friend was told she couldn't check in without me, they relented after it was obvious I wasn't appearing soon. It was a bit of a walk to get to the center (maybe 20 mins?), but the city as a whole isn't that large so that wasn't a huge deal - just that we were there in cold snowy dead of winter!

This is an excellent hotel. The layout is a bit labyrinthine because it consists of many interconnected canal houses, but the rooms are very nice and the service is top notch. The restaurant is also excellent.

This was a charming hotel--the room was 221 on an interior courtyard--spacious and the bed was wonderful. Bathroom was somewhat small, but overall, the room and hotel had character which made me want to return and experience another room. The hotel provided a letter which gave a brief history of the houses and which rooms were owned by whom.

great hotel with a lot of charm. this hotel is part of the luxury collection. it is a conglomeration of a bunch of small houses, turned into one large hotel from inside. from the outside, the hotel retains its multiple facades. the hotel is very nice inside. the bathroom is great with luxury collection amenities. as a plat, i checked in really early in the AM after a redeye and no suite was available. they were able to give me a large room though which was more than enough. there is a very nice interior courtyard, almost preferable to an exterior/canal view because of the peace and quiet. i will be staying here again.
