Right in the middle of Times Square. If that's where you want to be, then this is the hotel for you. It's definitely a convention style hotel. Problem though is with the elevators. I was there over the weekend and sometimes you had to literally wait 20+ minutes to get up or down. There just weren't enough elevators running for all of the people. If you ask me, it's a fire hazard. The rooms are pretty good sized, even the bathroom is decent. Nothing facy but pretty much what you expect from a Marriott. There are nice views of Times square of course from the hotel. Huge gym in the hotel - probably the largest hotel gym i've ever seen. Tons of cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights. Everything looked pretty new to me. The rate was around $250/night. - On Feb. 28, 2004, ir posted:
This hotel was just a circus. Though there seem to be at least 10 elevators, you have to give yourself plenty of time to actually get an elevator. In the lobby, there was always a herd of people waiting to either go down to the street level or up to their rooms. I just couldn't win. It felt very much like a convention hotel. Not much character, but the one thing it really has going for it was the location.
