I stayed at this resort July 3 - 8, 2005 with my cousin who is a "owner" Marriott Vacation Club. It was very clean and the staff friendly. We found out later that we were in the older units which explained the problem with the air conditioner in the one bedroom portion of our two bedroom and that they did not have a DVD player only VCR. We had a portable DVD that we hooked up for the kids. They did response right away to our request for service. They have activities throughout the resort if you do not feel like going out. Maid service every day. This I understand is not the case at some other vacation clubs (Westgate). This resort is closer to Universal, Sea World and Wet & Wild. If you will be spending most of your time at Disney I would suggest a resort closer to them. We had our own kitchen (washer and dryer in the suite). The food at the resort is pricey of course, but the Supermarket is about 15 minute drive. What ever you do make sure you have a copy of your confirmation and exactly what you are getting. We witness another guest arguing with the front desk about a mixup with their lock-off unit for thier guests (lock off units are two bedroom suites where one can be closed for privacy - an additional hotel room with an efficiency kitchen & pull-out couch). The hotel had no record of the need for an additional room and they were booked and could only offer to send them to their sister resort (Horizon's - new) across the road. They will not check you in before the offical check-in time. They will hold you bags. I would stay here again, but I would ask to be put into the newer units which I visited (they will try to get you to buy into the Club).
