    The Regency is a convention hotel, so the rooms are smallish, but recently remodeled in 2003, so they look quite nice. The lobby is in a huge atrium with a glass ceiling. There is a small grocery store attached to the hotel as well as a salon. It is situated right next to the river, quite far from all the activity of the Magnificent Mile. They offer complimentary DSL in the room. The fitness center has plenty of cardio and a decent selection of weight machines.

    Lobby here is quite huge. There is a nice cafe in it. Decor was decent. The rooms were standard, slightly boxy, but nice. Location is alright. There isn't much within walking distance, but it's easy enough to get a cab to take you down to the busier parts of Michigan Ave.

    The decor of this hotel is quite old. It could definitely use some renovations. This is a very large convention-style hotel. I did not care much for it. The service was pretty good though - they handled requests quite quickly and professionally. You can usually get a pretty good rate on this hotel through priceline and the like. The location, right on the river, is awesome. Can't really beat it. Be sure to check out the bar in the lobby - huge glass windows and probably the largest physical bar I have ever seen.
