    This is a beautiful and luxurious hotel in an excellent location. Being in wailea was great because the water sports (snorkeling, kayaking, surfing) can all be found within 10 min drive. The waters are calmer on this side of the island. The pool area was perfect - plenty of cabanas/lounge chairs, good service around the poolside and a great view all around. They even served breakfast on an outdoor patio facing the pool area. The breakfast buffet was well worth the extra money (we chose a package that included breakfast). The only thing that surprised me during my stay here was that one day housekeeping never cleaned our room, we had to call and ask them to service it.

    enjoyed the stay. hotel is the perfect oasis. checked out a number of other hotels, including the grand wailea and the fairmont and liked this one the best.
