The Loews Philadelphia Hotel prides itself with a first class level of service. The Loews Hotel is located in the heart of Center City, within walking minutes of fabulous shopping districts, historic sites, including the Pennsylvania Convention Center, world-class restaurants and trendy bars and nightclubs. The concierge is extremely friendly and helpful in planning your day or evening in Philadelphia. Dining at the Loews' award-winning SoleFood Restaurant is a must. (Order the signature popcorn shrimp!) Also, enjoy weekday Happy Hour specials...it's the best Happy Hour I have seen in the city yet- $5 specialty martinis, cocktails, and wine! At check in, I even received a coupon for a free glass of wine when dining at the restaurant or lounge. If you can't leave home without your pets, you don't have to- Loews loves pets! I even received many Loews gifts in my hotel room just for my dog. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Also, enjoy the full-service fitness center and spa featuring cardiovascular theater, lap pool and spa treatments. My stay at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel was truly an experience to remember. I would definitely would recommend the Loews' Philadelphia Hotel and visit it again! - On Mar. 21, 2005, Anonymous posted:
I stayed here for a week the summer of '04. Was upgraded to the concierge floor. Nice room, a little dated, but included a very good continental breakfast in the concierge lounge. The same week there was some high school convention at the convention center so the hotel was overrun with pranks and pranksters. Elevators were heavily congested and long waits. More than once, kids would get in with me upon seeing me insert my key to get to my floor (it was in the low 20's I recall) would reach over and press every floor, laugh and get off at next floor. I complained several times to the management. Finally they placed bellmen on the elevators during peak times. Geez! - On Feb. 15, 2004, DE posted:
I was actually pleasantly surprised by the Doubletree. I think it is better than most in the chain. It's located in a great area right in the heart of downtown on Broad street. Lots of stuff to do nearby. The gym is pretty good sized and the pool is also decent. You could work out here on a regular basis if it came to that. There's a jacuzzi i nthe pool area also. The lobby is medium sized. It's not too grand but it's not bad either. There are good views from the room and the layout was pretty good. I would definitely stay here again. - On Feb. 15, 2004, GH posted:
This looked like a fairly old property. It is very well located on Broad St (aka Avenue of the Arts) where the Kimmel Center and the Opera House is. Great restaurants in the area. The view from the room was quite nice. The room layout was a bit different because it has bay windows. Decor of the room was decent. Parking was $18, ins/outs allowed which was quite convenient.
